From the Guardian:

Pakistani kushti wrestlers prepare the ring for competition at the Champion Shahadra wrestling club in Lahore. Kushti, an Indo-Pakistani form of wrestling, is several thousand years old and is a national sport in Pakistan. In ancient times it was used for combat and self-defence. Over the centuries kushti has gradually become a sport adopting a series of rules and regulations and training methods. Wrestling competitions are held all over Pakistan especially during festivals and holidays.
